Bangladesh has crossed all limits of hypocrisy. On one hand, the neighboring country did not send its team to India for the 2026 T20 World Cup, while on the other hand, Bangladesh has reportedly allowed its shooting team to tour India. Let us tell you that according to the ICC schedule, Bangladesh was to play its league matches in the upcoming T20 World Cup in Kolkata and Mumbai, India, but the country boycotted the World Cup.

Talking about shooting tournament, let us tell you that Asian Rifle and Pistol Shooting Championship is to be held in New Delhi between 02 to 14 February. For this tournament, General Secretary of Shooting Federation of Bangladesh, Aleya Fardausi told news agency ANI over phone call that there is one shooter and one coach in the shooting team. The name of the shooter is Bilul Islam and the name of the coach is Sharmin Akhtar. The interim government of Bangladesh has given him permission to participate in the tournament. It was also told that the shooting team of Bangladesh will go to India on 31 January.

According to media reports, it was said from Bangladesh side that the shooting event will be indoor, hence there is no concern regarding security. Keeping all the aspects in mind, the government has given permission to the shooting team.

Security concerns expressed for T20 World Cup

While on one hand the interim government of Bangladesh did not express any security concern regarding the shooting event, on the other hand the government of the neighboring country had raised the issue of security for the T20 World Cup. Asif Nazrul, sports advisor to the interim government of Bangladesh, had talked about security for the T20 World Cup.

Bangladesh had also requested the ICC to change the venue of the T20 World Cup, but the ICC had rejected this demand. After this Bangladesh withdrew from the tournament.
