Pakistan’s terrorist groups, which target and kill common people in the name of Kashmir’s Jihad, are now threatening to target and kill those intellectuals living in Kashmir who expose Pakistan and its pet terrorist organizations abroad. Yesterday, Pakistan sponsored terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba issued a letter under its pseudonym The Resistance Front (TRF) threatening to kill Junaid Qureshi, the country’s renowned counter terrorism expert and director of the European Foundation for South Asian Studies (EFSAS).
In a letter issued under the pseudonym TRF, Lashkar-e-Taiba termed Junaid Qureshi a traitor and said that Lashkar-e-Taiba (TRF) will not hesitate at all in killing Junaid. This is the second time in the last 6 months that Lashkar-e-Taiba has threatened to kill any leader, journalist or intellectual who opposes terrorism and exposes Pakistan and its pet terrorist organizations on the global stage. Also, if we look at the track record of Pakistan and its terrorist organizations, from 1989 to 2020, more than 5 thousand people have been murdered in Kashmir by Pakistan’s pet terrorist organizations who used to speak in favor of India and oppose Pakistan and its pet terrorist organizations. In the year 2018, Hizbul Mujahideen terrorists had similarly killed the editor of Rising Kashmir, Shujaat Bukhari, on June 14, 2018, by publicly threatening him for the first few months. Similarly, in April last year also, social worker Ghulam Rasool Magre was murdered by suspected terrorists in Kupwara district.
What allegations did Junaid Qureshi make?
While talking to ABP News, Junaid Qureshi alleged that Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI is plotting his murder and it has given the task to its pet terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba and its commander Sajjad Gul to scare him or possibly kill him. According to Junaid, it is written in the threat that he is forming a think tank of pro-India intellectuals living in Kashmir, this fact was not in the public domain till now and only those with whom he was in contact knew it, in such a situation, the way Lashkar-e-Taiba’s threat in this name clearly states that Junaid Qureshi is forming a think tank intelligentsia which will destroy Pakistan’s propaganda on Kashmir and destroy India’s truth. Will take it to the international stage. It is difficult for any terrorist organization to obtain this information, hence according to Junaid, the reason behind the threat he received is Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI, for which Lashkar-e-Taiba works.
Junaid is the son of the terrorist involved in the plane crash.
Junaid Qureshi is the son of Hashim Qureshi, the first hijacker of independent India. Who hijacked Air India’s IC-405 in the year 1971 so that the fight for Kashmir’s freedom could be brought on the international stage. However, contrary to his father’s ideology, Hashim Qureshi’s son Junaid Qureshi has always talked about the interest of Kashmir and India and has been exposing the propaganda of Pakistan and its terrorists on the issue of Kashmir on the international platform. Not only this, IC-405 hijacking happened before Junaid’s birth and Junaid has always distanced himself from his father and his ideology and has termed IC-405 hijacking as an act of terrorism.
Junaid exposed Pakistan through his think tank
Besides, the terrorism which Pakistan describes as the fight for the freedom of Kashmir, Zunaid Qureshi, with the help of his think tank EFSAS, has exposed Pakistan on the international platform with evidence that this is not a fight for freedom but a modus operandi of killing common people and terrorism which is carried out by Lashkar-e-Taiba, Hizbul Mujahideen and Jaish-e-Mohammed at the behest of ISI.
According to Intelligence Department sources, the end-to-end encryption app through which the threat was given to Junaid and other intellectuals is operated from Rawalpindi and is operated by Lashkar-e-Taiba commander Sheikh Sajjad Gul himself. Also, on August 24, 2025, Sajjad Gul had created his account with a pseudonym on this end-to-end encryption app, on which he keeps posting his photos and TRF activities.
