UPSC Civil Services Examination is counted among the toughest examinations in the country. Lakhs of youth appear for it, but it is not easy to succeed. Generally people think that expensive coaching and long preparation is necessary to pass UPSC. But young IPS officer Abhijeet Patil of Rajasthan cadre proved that if there is dedication and right strategy, then no exam is difficult.

Abhijeet Patil made a record by passing UPSC and becoming an IPS officer at the age of just 22. Seeing his face and ‘baby face’, people often cannot believe that he is an IPS in uniform. But they are completely mature in terms of work and responsibility.

Beginnings and studies

Abhijeet was born on 11 June 1999 in Thane, Maharashtra. He did B.Tech in Civil and Environmental Engineering. He started preparing for UPSC in the last year of B.Tech. The special thing was that he did not take the help of any coaching institute, but relied on self-study.

In an interview, Abhijeet told that after watching a video of a UPSC topper on YouTube, he dreamed of becoming an officer. After this, he understood the syllabus and made his own preparation strategy.

Abhijeet studied 8 hours a day for about 8 months. He kept the number of books to a minimum and focused on frequent revision. He believed that deep understanding of the syllabus, smart study and regular revision were the keys to success.

Success and Rank

The result of this hard work was that Abhijeet secured 470th rank in UPSC 2022. This is a huge achievement at such a young age. After selection he was appointed as IPS officer in Rajasthan cadre.

Abhijeet Patil is today serving as ASP in Rajgarh of Churu district of Rajasthan. He works to show the right direction and inspire the youth. His story tells that if the hard work is true and the goal is clear, then no exam is difficult. Abhijeet Patil’s story is an inspiration for millions of youth who consider their dreams small due to limited resources. He proved that even without coaching and in less time, a difficult exam like UPSC can be passed. Every dream can be fulfilled with right thinking, right strategy and continuous hard work.
