An Indigo flight made an emergency landing at Ahmedabad airport. After receiving a bomb threat on a flight from Kuwait to Delhi, 180 passengers and their luggage were checked.
An IndiGo flight from Kuwait to Delhi made an emergency landing at Ahmedabad airport after receiving a message on tissue paper threatening to hijack and blow it up with a bomb. According to airport sources, every passenger and their luggage was thoroughly checked. Till now no suspicious object has been found from any passenger. After this, it may take about 2 hours for the flight to take off.
PI N of Airport Police Station. D. Nkume said that after receiving the threat, security agencies were alerted and the plane was thoroughly examined by BDDS (Bomb Disposal and Detection Squad). However, no objectionable item was found in the investigation. At present, the process of investigation of the aircraft has been completed and further investigation is going on as per the protocol.

According to the information, emergency landing of the flight was done at Ahmedabad airport which was completely safe. After this, all the 180 passengers on board the plane were taken out safely one by one. The passengers were taken to a secure part of the terminal to avoid any disturbance during the screening process. Security agencies had already been alerted. The situation has been brought under control immediately.

As soon as the information about the emergency landing was received, the bomb disposal squad, sniffer dog team and CISF personnel deployed at Ahmedabad airport immediately became active. Security was increased in the entire airport complex. Unauthorized movement around the runway and near the aircraft has been stopped. Every activity is being closely monitored so that any possible danger can be averted in time.
