Marriage of 300 daughters on Mahashivratri in Bageshwar Dham! Pandit Dhirendra Shastri gave information through video

Samuhik Kanya Vivah Bageshwar Dham: ‘Seventh Kanya Vivah Mahotsav’ will be organized at Bageshwar Dham, the famous pilgrimage site of Bundelkhand in Madhya Pradesh, on the occasion of Mahashivratri on 15 February 2026. Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri, the head of Bageshwar Dham, will marry 300 poor, orphan and disabled daughters in this mass girl marriage event.

Daughters from Nepal to West Bengal included

The resonance of this mass marriage festival is not limited only to Madhya Pradesh, rather daughters from 10 states of the country including Nepal to West Bengal will be married in it. According to the selected list, a total of 229 daughters from Madhya Pradesh and 56 from Uttar Pradesh have been selected for marriage.

Apart from this, daughters from states like Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Bihar and West Bengal will also participate in the festival. Apart from this, the marriage of a daughter of Nepal will also be done in Bageshwar Dham.

Priority for disabled and orphan daughters

Maharaja of Bageshwar Dham, Pandit Dhirendra Shastri announced the names of these daughters from Sanatan Math in Bhiwandi, Mumbai. He said that, this time a unique glimpse of service and dedication will be seen in the event. There are 60 such daughters in the list who do not have parents, while 138 daughters do not have fathers and 28 girls do not have mothers.

Selection took place in December 2025

For marriage, the bride and groom had submitted their documents at Bageshwar Dham between 1st and 15th December 2025. After scrutiny of these documents, daughters from the most needy families were selected for organizing mass girl marriages.

Pandit Dhirendra Shastri appealed to other monasteries and temples across the country to organize such events as per their capacity, so that no daughter is seen as a burden in the society.

Names of girls selected for mass marriage

The names of 300 daughters included Ranjeeta from Guna, Radhika from Delhi, Neelu and Poonam from Jhansi, Shivani, Sapna and Jyoti from Chhatarpur, Shivani from Indore and Asmita Sunar from Nepal. Marriage preparations for all these daughters have started at the Dham.
