There was a political stir in Mahoba, Uttar Pradesh on Friday (January 30, 2026) when the path of Cabinet Minister Swatantra Dev Singh was blocked by BJP MLA Brij Bhushan Rajput alias Guddu Bhaiya. This incident is said to have taken place near Ramshree Mahavidyalaya, where the minister was returning from a program.
According to the information, Cabinet Minister Swatantra Dev Singh was returning after participating in the ‘Youth Udghosh Program’. About 100 village heads were also present in this program. Meanwhile, BJP MLA Brij Bhushan Rajput along with his supporters stopped the minister’s convoy and the MLA expressed his displeasure over the poor condition of the roads in his assembly constituency.
It is being told that under Jal Jeevan Mission, roads were dug in many villages to lay pipelines, but the repairs were not done properly. Due to this the villagers are facing a lot of problems. The MLA and his supporters were angry over this issue. He lodged a protest with the minister and demanded immediate action. The situation became tense when a heated argument broke out between the MLA’s supporters and the police.
