The European Union (EU) has blacklisted Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas had said that IRGC would be included in the list of terrorist organizations like Al-Qaeda and Hamas. After this step of EU, now steps have also been taken by Tehran.

Iran on Friday (January 30, 2026) threatened the European Union (EU), saying that it can declare the armed forces of those countries as ‘terrorists’. Iran’s top security official Ali Larijani wrote in a post on the social media platform
The Iranian official wrote, ‘The EU certainly knows that according to the resolution of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, the armies of the countries that have taken part in the recent EU resolution against the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps are considered terrorist entities.’ He said that those European countries which took such action will have to suffer its consequences.
