Wife Tanzin Fatima, elder son Adeeb Azam Khan and sister Nikhat Akhlaq have met senior Samajwadi Party leader and former MP Azam Khan, who is lodged in Rampur District Jail. This meeting with the SP leader lasted for about half an hour. During this time, wife, son and sister kept distance from the media.
Let us inform you that SP leader Azam Khan and his son Abdullah Azam have been sentenced to 7 years imprisonment on (17 November 2025) on charges of irregularities in the PAN card related case. Because of which he is lodged in Rampur jail along with his son.
Rampur MP-MLA court held guilty
The court has sentenced him under sections related to fake PAN card manipulation, criminal conspiracy, fraud and forgery. It is alleged that Abdullah Azam had made his two PAN cards on the basis of different dates of birth.
There is also an allegation against Abdullah Azam that a second PAN card was made by him to contest the elections. For this reason his father Azam Khan was accused of conspiracy and cooperation. In this case, BJP MLA from Rampur city seat Akash Saxena Honey had filed a case.
Had sought parole to attend sister-in-law’s funeral.
Azam Khan had sought parole from the Rampur jail administration on (15 December 2025) to attend the Namaz-e-Janaza of his sister-in-law. Azam Khan’s nephew Farhan Khan had sent a letter to District Magistrate Rampur requesting to allow parole to Azam Khan and Abdullah Azam to attend Namaz-e-Janaza at the cemetery located near Mumtaz Park.
Farhan Khan had written in the letter that the applicant’s maternal uncle Azam Khan and his son Abdullah Azam Khan are currently detained in Rampur District Jail. Azam Khan’s sister-in-law Salma Shehnaz has passed away. It is their legal right to attend the funeral.
