Arjun Tendulkar, son of ‘Master-Blaster’ Sachin Tendulkar, has achieved a new milestone in his cricket career. He has completed 50 wickets in his first-class career. He made this record while playing for Goa and took his 50th wicket in the Ranji Trophy match against Maharashtra.
Arjun Tendulkar is a left-arm medium pace bowler, who can also hit good batting shots when needed. He made his first-class debut while playing for Goa in the month of December 2022 in the match against Rajasthan. He has completed 50 wickets in the 23rd match of his first-class career. He has taken 13 wickets while playing for Goa in the current season of Ranji Trophy.
Will break father’s record!
Arjun is currently 21 wickets behind his father, Sachin Tendulkar in terms of wickets taken in his first-class career. Sachin took 71 wickets in his first-class career. Arjun’s domestic career has been different and special. Arjun used to play for Mumbai in the beginning of his domestic cricket career, today he is seen in the role of all-rounder in the Goa team.
Let us tell you that Arjun Tendulkar was a part of Mumbai Indians for many seasons in the Indian Premier League, but in IPL 2026, Lucknow Super Giants team has included him.
Arjun Tendulkar’s career
Apart from taking 50 wickets, Arjun Tendulkar has also scored 625 runs in his first-class career of 23 matches. In red ball cricket, he has also scored one century and two half-century innings. In his List-A career of 24 matches, he has 26 wickets in his name. Whereas in his T20 career, Arjun Tendulkar has played 29 matches and taken 25 wickets.
