Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal on Saturday expressed confidence that the budget for the financial year 2026-27 to be presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on February 1 will be a good budget. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Finance Minister have consistently presented excellent budgets in the last few years and this budget will also be no different from them. Speaking to news agency PTI, Goyal said, “This will be a good budget… I am confident that it will be a very wonderful budget.”
When asked whether micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) should expect any special support from this budget, he said the Modi government has been continuously supporting the MSME sector through various programs and initiatives. He stressed that the government is fully aware and committed to the importance of this sector.
