Recently in a conversation with Shubhankar Mishra, he talked about talent and luck. He told that first of all it is important to understand what your goal is and why you want to do music. He told that there are many artists who do not have much reach or are not able to become a part of the mainstream, but still they remain completely satisfied with their life. Such artists live their dreams and live music from their heart. He also said that in commerce there is luck, this is a different thing.
Started career at a young age
Let us tell you, whenever there is talk of spiritual music and heart touching melodies in Bollywood, Mithun’s name comes at the top. Born in the heritage of music, Mithun took up music at the age of just 7 years. Being the nephew of veteran musician Pyarelal, music was in his blood, but he created his own identity.
Mithun started his career in 2005 with the song ‘Woh Lamhe’ from the film ‘Zehar’, which was recreated. After this, songs like ‘Ab to aadat si hai mujhko’ in ‘Kaliyug’ made him notice. His real success came in the year 2007, when the songs ‘Tose Naina Laage’ and ‘Maula Mere’ from the film ‘Anwar’ became superhits, but the biggest breakpoint came from the song ‘Tere Bin’, which was sung by Atif Aslam. This song won him his first Stardust Award and he became known as ‘Tere Bin’ composer.
In the year 2013, the song ‘Tum Hi Ho’ from the film ‘Aashiqui 2’ took Mithun to new heights. This song still resides in millions of hearts. Apart from this, he gave music for many hit films like ‘Alone’, ‘All is Well’, ‘Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak’, ‘Traffic’, ‘Shivaay’, ‘Half Girlfriend’, ‘Ek Villain’, ‘Sanam Re’, ‘Ki and Ka’, ‘Baaghi 2’, ‘Kabir Singh’, ‘Khuda Hafiz’, ‘Radhe Shyam’, and ‘Gadar 2’.
