‘Dhurandhar’ has become the biggest film of Bollywood. This spy thriller created a stir at the Indian and foreign box offices and made huge collections. It is noteworthy that Dhurandhar did not get theatrical release in Gulf countries and Pakistan, these countries are traditionally considered very important markets for the global earnings of Hindi cinema.
Despite this shortcoming, this film made under the direction of Aditya Dhar earned more than Rs 1300 crore in foreign countries. Now that this film has been released on Netflix, despite the theatrical ban, Dhurandhar is trending on the top spot on OTT in Pakistan.
Dhurandhar is trending on top 1 on Netflix Pakistan?
Now, following the worldwide Netflix release of Dhurandhar, the film has quickly topped streaming charts everywhere. According to media reports, in Pakistan, a large number of viewers are watching Dharandhar and trying to understand why it has been described as “controversial”. Over the weekend, such screenshots surfaced on social media in which Dhurandhar was trending at number one in the films category on Netflix Pakistan, thereby overtaking other Bollywood films like Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna starrer Tere Ishq Mein and Haq, as well as The Big Fake.

About OTT release of Dhurandhar
Ranveer Singh’s high-octane action film made its much-awaited debut on Netflix on January 30 and audiences went crazy to watch it. In India, just like in Pakistan, the film is now comfortably at number 1 on Netflix’s trending list. As far as editing is concerned, the runtime of the film remains largely the same. The only change is the removal of the Balochi dialogue of Sanjay Dutt’s character SP Aslam, on which a community had earlier raised strong objection and even filed a legal complaint. That scene was previously removed from the theatrical print, and no additional cuts have been made on Netflix.
Dhurandhar Star Cast and Story
Apart from Ranbir Singh, many actors including Akshay Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Rakesh Bedi, Arjun Rampal and Sara Arjun have played important roles in Dhurandhar. Dhurandhar is a spy thriller in which Ranveer is playing the role of an Indian spy who infiltrates the gang of Lyari in Pakistan. It blends real events and real people with a fictional story of India’s fight against terrorism.
This film was not released in Pakistan because for the last few years that country has not allowed Indian films to be released in theaters there.
