Cinema lovers will once again get to see the biggest clash at the box office on March 19. Actually, on this day, the sequel of Ranveer Singh’s blockbuster ‘Dhurandhar’, ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ and Yash’s ‘Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-ups’ are being released. Apart from these two, another film, Adivi Shesh and Mrinal Thakur’s ‘Dacait’ was going to be released on March 19. However, to avoid clashes, its release date has now been extended.

The makers of ‘Dacait’ have decided to postpone the film and have shared its new release date. Earlier this film was scheduled to be released in theaters on March 19, 2026 on the occasion of Eid and Gudi Padwa holidays, but now it will be released on April 10. This decision has been taken to get better response to the film in theatres.
The makers of ‘Dacait’ also expressed deep respect for both films and their creative teams, and said that the decision was taken to ensure that “the films get their due and audiences can experience each film on their own terms.”

Directed by debut director Shanel Dev, the film stars Adivi Shesh in the role of an inspector. The story of the film revolves around two old lovers who have to commit several robberies together, which changes their lives. Prakash Raj and Anurag Kashyap also play important roles in this film.
Talking about the film, Adivi had told Times Now that Dacoit is a modern-day Sholay, adding, “I think it is a very emotional and angry story. Dacoit has laughter, anger and tears – every emotion that films should have. The story is told from a neo-Western perspective.”
