Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh’s film Alpha is once again in the news. Earlier there were reports of this spy thriller film being released in theaters but now there are new reports that it will be released directly on OTT.
Shiv Rawail is directing this film. Aditya Chopra is producing. Yash Raj Films’ Spy Universe is not getting a very good response at the box office. His War 2 and Mardaani did not live up to expectations.
Mardaani 3 and War 2 did not get good response.
According to the news of Sacnilk, recently the film Mardaani 3 was released. This film had a female lead. However, the film did not collect at the box office out of the box. Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR’s film War 2 also did not get a very good response. This film of YRF also could not collect as per expectations.
In such a situation, the makers are also making strategies regarding the release of Alpha. This is also a female lead project. The makers thought that Mardaani 3 would give a boost to female lead projects. But considering the recent box office trends of female-lead action projects, the makers are planning to release the film on OTT instead of theatre. By doing this the film will get a high value streaming partner and secure revenue model. However, there are reports that actress Alia Bhatt had opposed it.
Now there is no official update yet regarding whether the film will be released in theaters or on OTT.
Talking about Alia Bhatt’s work front, apart from Alpha, she will be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film Love and War. Apart from Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal are in lead roles in this film.
