Bollywood’s favorite couple Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia Deshmukh were recently seen in tennis star Sania Mirza’s podcast Serving with Sania. During the conversation, Sania asked Ritesh a question which every social media user will be able to relate to. The question was how both of them create a balance between real life and social media in the way they show a fun version of their relationship on Instagram.
Reels journey started from Covid
On this Ritesh told that all this started during the time of Covid. At that time he had made some TikTok videos which suddenly went viral. People told him that watching his videos gave them a chance to laugh during those difficult times. Genelia laughingly admitted that initially she did not like all this about Ritesh and she often used to say that he was busy on the phone all the time.
When Genelia also joined
Ritesh further told that gradually Genelia also joined the video and then both of them started making couple reels together. One video led to another and both of them realized how much people were enjoying these reels. Ritesh said that even today people meet him and complain that why the new reel has not come for a long time.
Reels without plan and millions of views
During the conversation, Sania jokingly said that the reels which are made with the most thought are the ones that flop the most. Both Ritesh and Genelia seemed to agree on this. Ritesh told that recently he had posted a reel without thinking much because there was no time and the same reel brought about 220 million views. Both of them believe that the biggest quality of their reels is that they are natural and fun and mostly they are shot in boxer shorts and T-shirt.
Popularity of reels and films
Ritesh also laughingly said that now many times people meet him and say, ‘It was great to see you’ and when they ask which film he saw, the answer he gets is, ‘I have seen reels, not films.’ Ritesh jokingly said that if so many people reach the theater to watch his films, then it will be real fun. Let us tell you that Ritesh will soon be seen in his big historical film ‘Raja Shivaji’, which he himself is directing. Apart from this, he will also be seen in comedy films like ‘Masti 4’, ‘Dhamaal 4’ and ‘Housefull 5’.
