But yesterday they called the MP a traitor because he was a Sikh. This was an insult to the Sikhs. This was an insult to the gurus. It was an expression of the deep-rooted hatred against Sikhs within the Congress. He was an honorable MP of this house. But they don’t feel any pain. He did not express regret.

PM Modi said, ‘The country will never tolerate calling someone whose family has been martyred for the country a traitor. Just because he changed his political views. If such people don’t sink the Congress, what will they do?
What did Congress MP Rahul Gandhi say?

Actually, on Wednesday Rahul Gandhi was protesting with the MPs suspended from the Lok Sabha. Then Ravneet Singh Bittu passed by and seeing him, Rahul Gandhi said, Hello my brother, my traitor friend, don’t worry, you will come back.

During this, Rahul Gandhi tried to shake hands with him, but Bittu did not shake hands. BJP has called this comment of Rahul Gandhi an insult to Sikhs. Apart from this, Bittu said that Rahul Gandhi has always been targeting Sikhs. He called Rahul Gandhi the biggest traitor and murderer of Sikhs.

Who is Ravneet Singh Bittu?

Ravneet Singh Bittu is a Rajya Sabha MP. Currently, he is the Minister of State in the Ministry of Railways and Ministry of Food Processing Industries in the Modi government. In August 2024, BJP had sent him to Rajya Sabha from Rajasthan. Before joining BJP, Bittu was in Congress. He has joined BJP in 2024. BJP had given him Lok Sabha ticket from Ludhiana in the year 2024, but he lost to Congress candidate Amarinder Singh Raja Wadding. Before this, Bittu has been a Lok Sabha MP from Ludhiana twice.
