Good news has come from Madhya Pradesh for the youth preparing for government jobs. Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission has issued recruitment notification for the posts of Assistant Town Planner in the Urban Development Department. A total of 39 posts will be filled through this recruitment. If selected in this job, the candidates will get the benefit of good salary and permanent government job. The application process will start from 20 February 2026 and candidates can apply till 19 March 2026.
The job of Assistant Town Planner is to plan the development of cities and areas. Candidates working on this post will have to study the data related to the development of the city and prepare a development plan based on it. Apart from this, it will also be the responsibility of this post to give suggestions and guidance to the administration so that the development work is implemented properly in the cities.
Who can apply?
To apply for this recruitment, the candidate must have a four-year graduation degree in town planning or related subject from a recognized institute. Apart from this, candidates who have taken M.Plan degree in Town Planning, Urban Planning, Rural Planning, Infrastructure Planning, Regional Planning, Traffic and Transportation Planning, Landscape Architecture, Town Design or Environmental Planning can also apply. Candidates who have passed AITP exam will also be eligible to apply. However, candidates having BE or ME degree in Traffic and Transportation will not be considered eligible for this recruitment.
What is the age limit?
To apply for this recruitment, the minimum age of the candidate should be 21 years and maximum age should be 40 years. Reserved category candidates will be given age relaxation as per government rules.
How much salary will you get?
After selection on this post, candidates will get a monthly salary ranging from Rs 56,100 to Rs 1,77,500. Along with this, the benefit of government allowances will also be given, due to which this job becomes even more attractive.
How much will the application fee cost?
The application fee for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Other Backward Class (non-creamy layer), Economically Weaker Section and Disabled candidates native of Madhya Pradesh has been kept at Rs 250. Whereas candidates from general category and other states will have to pay an application fee of Rs 500.
How will the selection be done?
Candidates in this recruitment will be selected on the basis of written examination. This examination will be conducted on 20 September 2026.

Candidates who have previously applied for any recruitment of MPPSC can login directly with their registration number. New candidates will have to first register by clicking on New Registration and filling the mobile number, email ID and necessary information. After this, after getting the registration number, you will have to login and go to the application link of the concerned recruitment. All the information asked in the application form must be filled correctly. After this, scan and upload the photo and signature and deposit the application fee according to the category. Finally, take a print out of the application form and keep it safe.
