The weather has changed once again in Uttar Pradesh. For the last few days in the month of February, there has been sunshine and strong surface winds during the day, due to which the weather remained clear. But, now once again the period of fog has started in the state. The Meteorological Department has warned of dense to extremely dense fog in the state today. Due to fog, cold may increase in the morning and evening.
The weather will be dry today in both western and eastern divisions of UP. Light winds may blow during this period, but an alert has been given of dense to very dense fog at some places in the Terai areas in the morning and evening. There will be light sunshine during the day which will provide relief to people from cold. The weather will remain normal in the rest of the state. All these districts remain in the green zone.
Fog alert in 24 districts of UP
According to the Meteorological Department, dense to extremely dense fog is expected in 24 districts of the state today on February 9. Among these, orange alert of dense fog has been issued in Bareilly, Pilibhit, Lakhimpur Kheri, Bahraich, Shravasti, Balrampur, Siddharthnagar, Balrampur, Kushinagar and Gorakhpur. Visibility may remain at zero meters in these districts, which may cause problems in movement on the roads.
Apart from these, warning of dense fog has also been given in Bijnor, Moradabad, Rampur, Shahjahanpur, Sitapur, Barabanki, Gonda, Basti, Sant Kabir Nagar, Ambedkar Nagar, Azamgarh, Mau, Ballia and Deoria. Yellow alert has been given in these districts. There may be fog with visibility of 100-500 meters here.
Sunshine in Lucknow, light fog in Noida
Talking about the capital Lucknow, there may be light fog in the morning but as the day progresses, the sky will be clear and there will be bright sunshine. In Noida-Ghaziabad district adjacent to Delhi, it may remain partly cloudy from this morning itself, the effect of sunlight will also be less during the day. However, there is no possibility of rain or drizzle.
The weather in the state is expected to remain normal for a few days. No significant change will be seen anywhere from 10-14 February. There will be no change in the minimum and maximum temperatures of the state for the next two days. After this, there is a possibility of a gradual increase of 2-3 degrees.
