The Delhi government has taken a big step towards giving new heights to the health system of the capital. New medical facilities equipped with state-of-the-art technology have been started in Govind Ballabh Pant (GB Pant) Hospital, which is going to be of great benefit not only to Delhi but also to the patients coming from other states.

In a program organized in the hospital premises, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and Health Minister Dr. Pankaj Kumar Singh inaugurated 256 slice CT scan, wide cath lab and new ICU. Many experts related to hospital administration and medical world were also present on this occasion.

Now treatment like private will be available in government hospitals also

During the inauguration, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said that the aim of the Delhi government is to equip government hospitals with international level facilities. He clarified that it is the priority of the government to eliminate the gap between rich and poor in treatment, so that every citizen can get equal and better health services.

North India’s first 256 slice CT scan

The Chief Minister informed that the 256 slice CT scan installed in GB Pant Hospital is one of the few machines in its category and has been installed for the first time in a government hospital in North India. This machine will prove to be very effective in fast and accurate diagnosis of cancer, heart disease and other serious diseases. He said, with the opening of the new Neuro Cath Lab in the hospital, treatment related to neuroscience will get a new strength. This hospital, which has been a leader in medical services and education since 1964, has been provided with these modern facilities at a cost of approximately Rs 38 crore.

Modern upgrade done by removing old technology

At the same time, Health Minister Dr. Pankaj Kumar Singh said that the Neuro IT system has been completely upgraded in GB Pant Hospital. Old machines have been removed and new technology has been installed, due to which common patients will directly benefit from better and faster treatment.

The Health Minister said that the government is expanding health services, taking forward the trust given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the people of Delhi. In the coming time, MRI, CT scan and modern testing facilities will also be started in other hospitals of Delhi.

Delhi government believes that these new facilities started in GB Pant Hospital will give a strong foundation to the health system of the capital and will further deepen the trust of the people towards government hospitals.
