Samajwadi Party National President and former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has given a sharp reaction to the budget of Yogi government presented in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly. Akhilesh Yadav called it a farewell budget. SP chief Akhilesh Yadav started the press conference with a riddle and said that when he opened his mouth, he spoke badly. Akhilesh Yadav said that this budget will mark the farewell of the present government.
SP chief Akhilesh Yadav said that the size of the budget is increased every year and this time too the budget is bigger than last year, but the government is not able to spend it. According to him, the budget is big, but it is not being spent. It is clear from this that the people of the government are incompetent.
Akhilesh Yadav also raised questions regarding the economy of the state. He said that according to the target of trillion dollar economy, the GSDP of Uttar Pradesh should be around Rs 90 lakh crore, but the actual figures have not been revealed yet. He claimed that the growth rate of the state should have been 30 percent, but sectors like agriculture and MSME are not getting the required encouragement.
Government should tell how much income of people taking ration – Akhilesh Yadav
Akhilesh said that the government is showing the dream of a developed India, while the ground reality is different. Raising the issue of per capita income, he said that the government should tell what is the income of the people who are being given ration. He also raised questions on the investment front, according to him, despite big claims under Invest UP in 2023-24, only a few investment proposals reached the ground and actual investment was only about Rs 4 thousand crore.
Government failed in providing employment to youth- Akhilesh Yadav
Speaking on MSME sector, Akhilesh Yadav said that out of 92 lakh units, about 82 lakh are not registered. His allegation was that policy relaxations will have the biggest impact on this sector and the government has failed in providing employment to the youth. He also made serious allegations against the government regarding health services. He said that wrong medicines are being given in many districts and cases of drug scams are coming to light.
Police system has weakened and corruption has increased
While commenting on law and order, Akhilesh Yadav alleged that the police system has weakened and corruption has increased. He said that instead of curbing organized crime, the system itself is under question.
