Today is the 10th day of the budget session. Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi’s speech has started during the Lok Sabha proceedings. Rahul Gandhi said, today’s challenges were not discussed in the budget. There is nothing in the budget regarding AI and data. AI is very important in today’s times.
Rahul Gandhi said, we are living in an era of war, the war between Russia and Ukraine is going on. China is challenging America. In the present era, energy and finance have become weapons. Operation Sindoor is also going on between India and Pakistan. He said, nothing has been said in our budget to deal with conflicts around the world.
Leader of Opposition further said, Indian data is very important for America. Our population is a great strength, but this will happen only when you understand it. If the President of India Bloc was in talks with Trump, we would have said that Indian data is most important in this deal.
Questions raised on India-America trade deal
Regarding the trade deal between India and America, Rahul Gandhi said, through the trade deal, the government has opened the way to crush poor farmers. No Prime Minister of the country has done this before. Our farmers are facing crisis for the first time. American imports will increase from $46 billion to $146 billion. Tariffs on India have increased from 3 percent to 18 percent and theirs have decreased from 16 percent to zero.

Rahul Gandhi said, “I am saying that you have sold the country. Aren’t you ashamed of selling India? You have sold our Mother India, Mother India.”
Rahul said, “I was looking at the economic survey and I saw two things. First, we live in a world where geopolitical conflict is increasing rapidly. America’s dominance is being challenged by China, Russia and other powers. At the same time, a serious thing is that we are living in a world of weaponization of energy and finance. The Prime Minister and the National Security Advisor had made a shocking statement some time ago that the era of war has ended. In fact, we have entered the era of war. You can see that there is a war going on in Ukraine, there was a war in Gaza, there is a war going on in the Middle East, there is a threat of war in Iran.”
Rahul said, “I want to caution the government about the consequences of AI. The idea of becoming a software engineer that is popular in India is going to be challenged. When you enter a dangerous world, first of all you have to understand what is your strength as an individual and as a nation. 1.4 billion people, talented, energetic, dynamic, who can challenge anyone in the world.”
