A lawyer was shot dead in broad daylight at the District Panchayat office in Rampur, Uttar Pradesh. It is being told that Gausia, wife of deceased lawyer Farooq, is a clerk in the District Panchayat office. Asghar Ali, resident of Milak Tahavwar village of Patwai police station area, is also a Babu.
Yesterday (11th February) there was some hot talk between Gausiya and Babu Asghar Ali. Regarding this matter, Gausia called her husband Farooq, Farooq went straight to Asghar Ali in his cabin. There started an altercation between the two and soon a scuffle broke out between them.
Advocate killed with licensed revolver
According to the information, during this time accused Asghar Ali opened fire on advocate Farooq from his license revolver and also attacked Gausia with his butt. The advocate was taken to the district hospital in injured condition. Where the doctors declared him dead. The advocate’s wife Gausia was also injured in this incident. After the murder of the advocate, his family members created a ruckus in the emergency of the district hospital.
Police took action and arrested Asghar Ali
Rampur SP Vidya Sagar Mishra and Additional Superintendent of Police Anurag Singh along with DM Ajay Kumar Dwivedi also reached the district hospital and tried to convince the angry family members. Lawyers say that our lawyers are not safe in this administration. Our fellow lawyer has been shot dead. The public and lawyers are not safe in this current government. The police took immediate action and arrested the accused clerk Asghar Ali. Police have sent the advocate’s body for post-mortem and the case is being investigated thoroughly.
Farooq had an argument with the accused regarding some matter.
Rampur SP Vidha Sagar Mishra said that advocate Farooq had gone to the District Panchayat office. Farooq was shot by a clerk named Asghar in the room where his wife was working. There was an argument between the two regarding some issue. Farooq was brought to the district hospital in an injured condition where he tragically died. Accused Asghar has been taken into custody and he is also injured. The advocate’s wife has also been injured and is undergoing treatment. Further legal action will be taken based on the complaint of the family members. There is anger among the lawyers of Rampur due to the murder of the advocate.
