Recently the teaser of the film was released in which a glimpse of fear, anger and harsh truth is clearly visible. It is clear that this time the story is going to be deeper and more layered than before. National Award winning director Kamakhya Narayan Singh is directing this film. It is being told that the story is inspired by real incidents recorded in the Indian legal system which have been presented in a powerful cinematic style. Vipul Shah himself said that the team has done detailed research for months so that what is shown is completely based on truth and facts.
‘The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond’ is based on three important stories which are said to be inspired by many real court cases. Vipul Shah said that his aim was not just to tell the story of three girls but to bring out the picture of the entire country. Therefore, aspects related to the lives of many other victim girls have also been included in it. That is, the story is of three faces but glimpses of many more truths will also be seen in it.
Deep investigation done at ground level
Vipul Shah clearly said that the film is not made only on paper research. The team has worked in the field for about six to seven months. We visited different states and met the victims, their families and nearby people. Even court orders, police records and FIRs have been scrutinized. The victims have also been reached out through several media reports. According to him, it was a very long and detailed research through which correct information was gathered and the film has been prepared on the basis of that.
When will the film be released
‘The Kerala Story’ created a stir across the country with its outspoken style. Now its sequel is talking about expanding that scope further. Directed by Kamakhya Narayan Singh, this film has been produced by Vipul Amritlal Shah while Ashin A Shah is its co-producer. ‘The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond’, made under the banner of Sunshine Pictures, will be released in theaters on 27 February 2026 and it is believed that this film can create a big buzz again.
