- If it opens with Rs 7 crores, it will leave behind the opening of Shahid’s previous film Deva, which opened with Rs 5 crores last year.
- However, the first day collection of ‘O’Romeo’ will be less than half of the opening of Shahid Kapoor’s biggest hit ‘Kabir Singh’.

‘O Romeo’ was embroiled in controversy even before its release as the daughter of late Hussain Shaikh, aka Hussain Ustara, had sued the makers for making a biopic of her father without permission and showing him in a negative light. However, the court said that Hussain’s daughter Sanobar failed to prove the case, after which the case was dismissed.
