Bangladesh Nationalist Party i.e. BNP has achieved a big victory in the elections. On this, prominent BNP leader and party chairman Tariq Rehman has thanked the supporters gathered outside the house.
According to the news of Dhaka Tribune, before leaving for prayers on Friday, Tariq told his supporters, ‘I am thankful to you for the love you have shown. Please pray for me.
Tariq Rahman had gone out to offer namaz at the Bangladesh Navy Headquarters Mosque. Due to the party’s good performance in the elections, people had gathered to meet him. During this, he stopped his car and himself came out and thanked the supporters. The present crowd also clapped on this.
The elections held in an environment of instability were great for BNP.
This time’s election has proved very good for Tariq Rehman. Bangladesh Nationalist Party has won it with two-thirds majority. It has returned to power after almost two decades. These elections were held amidst an atmosphere of instability in the country.
Sheikh Hasina government’s rule ended in 2024
Actually, Sheikh Hasina’s 15-year rule ended in the month of August in the year 2024. He had to face protests. During this period, large scale violent demonstrations were also seen. The situation was so out of control that Sheikh Hasina left the country as soon as the coup took place.
