The budget of Delhi Municipal Corporation for the financial year 2026-27 was passed in the House meeting held on Friday. In which many major proposals of Indraprastha Vikas Party (IVP) have been included. These proposals included in the budget are being seen as a major political and organizational achievement of the party.
Indraprastha Vikas Party leaders and senior corporation councilors Mukesh Goyal and Hemchand Goyal said that in the passed budget, a proposal has been included to increase the meeting allowance given to corporation councilors from Rs 300 to Rs 3000. This increase has been made keeping in mind the responsibilities and increasing workload of the councilors.
Former councilors and dependents will also get free booking facility
There is also a provision in the budget that the corporation councilors, former corporation councilors and their dependents will be given the facility of free booking of MCD parks and community buildings for organizing functions. This is expected to provide relief in organizing social and family programs at the local level.
Provision of cashless facility in MCD hospitals
According to IVP leaders, the proposal to provide cashless medical facilities to councilors, former councilors and their dependents in MCD hospitals and dispensaries has also been included in the budget. This step is being considered an important initiative towards health security.
19 other proposals also included
Party leaders said that 19 other major proposals given by Indraprastha Vikas Party have also got a place in the budget. These include 9 proposals of Mukesh Goyal, 6 of Hemchand Goyal, 2 of Usha Sharma and one proposal each of Rajesh Kumar Ladi and Sahib Kumar.
IVP leaders said that their party is not limited to mere political rhetoric, but works seriously on issues related to the convenience and ground needs of the people of Delhi. He claims that the proposals included in the budget are the result of this thinking and priority of public interest.
