Punjab’s famous actress Himanshi Khurana has received death threats. Gangster Zeeshan Akhtar has demanded extortion of Rs 10 crore from the actress and threatened to kill her. According to police sources, an extortion amount of Rs 10 crore has been demanded from the actress through phone and email. The police have started investigation in this matter and the security of the actress has been tightened.
Mohali SP (D) Saurabh Jindal said that an FIR has been registered in this matter. This FIR has been registered in Sohana police station. The officer said that the threat came through email. Gangster Zeeshan Akhtar’s name is included as an accused in the FIR.
Himanshi Khurana received threat
The actress told the police, ‘I work in the music industry. I received a mail on my email ID on February 12 at around 11:45 pm, in which the person had sent the audio. In this audio he threatened to kill and asked for Rs 10 crore. Then on February 13, at around 6:18 pm, another threatening email came, in which he again threatened to kill me and demanded extortion. Then on February 13, at around 11:34 pm, a missed call, message and audio note came on our team and my phone.
The actress told that she does not know any person named Zeeshan Akhtar. She said, “As of now, I don’t need any security. If I have to go out for some work, I will inform you.”
A case has been registered against Zeeshan Akhtar at Sohana police station. After preparing the FIR and special report, police constable Gagandeep Singh has forwarded that number for surveillance.
Himanshi Khurana won the title of Miss Ludhiana at the age of 16 and started acting in 2010 with the Punjabi film ‘Sadda Haq’, after which she was seen in many films including ‘Leather Life’ and ‘Afsar’. Along with films, Himanshi has also been seen in many music videos. She was also seen in Bigg Boss 13, where she was in a relationship with Asim Riaz. However, this relationship did not last long and both of them decided to separate.
