A shameful record has been added to the name of Abhishek Sharma in the T20 World Cup. He could not even open his account in the match against Pakistan on 15 February. Abhishek’s name has been added to the list of players who have been out without scoring any runs in their first 2 T20 matches. He is the third cricketer in the world and second cricketer from India, who could not even open his account in his first two T20 World Cup matches.
Abhishek Sharma is the third batsman in the world who did not score any runs in his first two T20 World Cup matches. Before him, this had happened with Ashish Nehra of India and Imrul Kayes of Bangladesh. Ashish Nehra and Imrul Kayes could not even score any runs in their T20 World Cup. Even Abhishek has not been able to do this till now.
Abhishek Sharma played his first T20 World Cup match with USA, in which he was out on the very first ball of his innings. After that, due to illness he could not play in the match with Namibia. After that he returned in the match against Pakistan, but here he was out in 4 balls without opening the account.
