Emmanuel Macron has come to India to attend the summit. The program started on 16th February at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi and the summit will continue till 20th February. Macron will be on a tour of India from 17 February to 20 February.

According to the Times of India report, Macron strongly criticized social media platforms at the AI ​​Impact Summit and said that free speech is bullshit. He said that the problem is not freedom of expression but the algorithms of social media platforms and the opaque systems that filter, categorize content and then deliver it to a wide range of users.

Emmanuel Macron warned that if there is no transparency in the creation, training and testing of algorithms, they can pose a serious threat to the democratic system. Emmanuel Macron also rejected claims that social media platforms are neutral, alleging that these platforms deliberately silently present extremist and hateful content to users.

Emmanuel Macron said that the system algorithms of social media platforms should be free and completely transparent. There should be measures to curb extremist and hateful content. Emmanuel Macron also stressed on Artificial Intelligence and said that India and France are committed to developing the computing capacity and talent needed to build their own trustworthy AI systems, as we cannot rely solely on technology created and managed elsewhere.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in the AI ​​​​Impact Summit that the purpose of this conference is to find out how AI can be used for the benefit of all. He said that our future will be decided in the direction we take AI today.

He said that representation from more than 100 countries of the world has participated in this AI Summit of India. PM Modi said that a large number of youth have participated in the AI ​​summit. The India where this summit is being held represents one sixth of humanity. He said that India is the country with the largest youth population in the world. It is the center of the largest tech talent pool. It is an example of the largest tech enabled ecosystem. Earlier last year, AI Summit was held in Paris on 10-11 February, in which Prime Minister Narendra Modi also participated.
