Jamia Millia Islamia has announced the online admission process for the academic session 2026-27. The prospectus related to admission has also been released by the university. With this, the online application process for various courses has started. This news is considered very important for the students of India and abroad.

Jamia Millia Islamia has brought many new opportunities for the students this time. A total of 30 new courses at undergraduate, postgraduate, advanced diploma, PG diploma, certificate and diploma level are being started from the new session. The university administration says that the objective of these new courses is to connect students with better education and employment according to the changing times.

Vice Chancellor released the prospectus

On Friday, University Vice-Chancellor Professor Mazhar Asif officially released the prospectus for admission. On this occasion, he said that Jamia is taking the education system forward as per the National Education Policy 2020. Under this, the facility of multiple entry mode is being provided in the four-year undergraduate program, which will give students more flexibility in studies.

Entrance exam will be held in 11 cities across the country

This year, the entrance examination of Jamia will be conducted in 11 cities of the country. The special thing is that this time three new examination centers have been added. These include Jaipur, Dehradun and Kishangarh. Earlier this examination was held in Delhi, Lucknow, Guwahati, Patna, Kolkata, Srinagar, Calicut and Bhopal. With the addition of new centres, students will get the facility to take the examination in their nearest city.

Relief to foreign students, reduction in fees

The university has taken an important decision to attract foreign students. Fees for foreign students have been reduced under general and supernumerary seat category. Apart from this, fee structure has been fixed according to different regions for students of SAARC countries, West Asian countries, African and Latin American countries. This is expected to provide a lot of relief to the students coming from abroad.

Application process made easier

Jamia administration has tried to simplify the application process for students. Under this, admission for different courses has been divided into four categories. This will make it easier for students to understand how they have to apply for which course and which date is important for them.

Know which are the new courses

Many special courses are included in the 30 new programs being started this year. Prominent among these are courses like BA Honors Japanese Studies, BA Honors German Studies, BA Honors Human Resource Management, LLM Corporate Law, BE Civil Engineering Evening, MA Social Work and MSc Botany. The university has clarified that there has been no increase in the fees of these new courses.

Entrance Exam and Merit Based Admissions

For the courses for which admission will be done on the basis of entrance examination, online applications will be accepted till March 25. Whereas for the programs where admission will be based on the merit of JEE Mains, NATA, BPT, NEET, NCET and CUET, their forms can be filled from 20th February till 10 days after the declaration of the result by the respective examination agency.

You will get benefit from multiple entry mode

Under multiple entry mode, online applications can be made from 20th February to 10th April for the programs in which seats will be vacant. This system will be beneficial for those students who were not able to take admission earlier due to some reason.
