Aam Aadmi Party’s national convenor and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has got a big relief in the Delhi Excise (Liquor) Policy matter. Rouse Avenue Court has acquitted Arvind Kejriwal and Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia in this case. While giving the verdict in favor of Aam Aadmi Party, the court said that no evidence was found against Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia. While talking to the media immediately after the court’s decision, Kejriwal became emotional and tears welled up in his eyes. According to the video going viral, as soon as Kejriwal came in front of the media, he was seen saying that I am not corrupt, the court has said that Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia are honest. After which many reactions of people are coming out on this video of his.
Court raised questions on CBI’s arguments
Rouse Avenue Court Special Judge Jitendra Singh said in his order that the prosecution failed to prove the allegations with solid evidence. The court commented that no concrete evidence of any major conspiracy or criminal intention in the excise policy has emerged. The court also said that the things revealed in the documents and records appear to be part of the administrative decision process and not the result of any criminal conspiracy. The court also raised questions on the arguments of the investigating agency and lack of evidence. Apart from Kejriwal and Sisodia, other accused have also got relief in this case.

Speaking to the media after the verdict, Kejriwal said that we always say that truth prevails, I thank the judge… truth has prevailed. He termed this matter as the biggest political conspiracy of independent India and alleged that all this is an attempt to destroy the Aam Aadmi Party. While talking to the media, Kejriwal’s voice broke down, he said that if you want power then win the hearts of the people by doing good work.
