This time a total of 1679 posts will be recruited. Application process for this recruitment: Candidates can fill the online form till 14th March. If there is any mistake in the form, they will get a chance to make corrections till 19th March. The written examination will start from 7th April 2026 and admit cards will be issued before the examination.
Details of posts
A total of 1679 people will be recruited in this recruitment. Which will be filled in both Forest Department and Jail Department. Of these, maximum 757 posts are for jail guards, while 728 posts have been kept for forest guards. Apart from this, 169 posts have been earmarked for Field Guard and 25 posts for Assistant Jail Superintendent.
How much salary will you get?
If we talk about salary, then this recruitment is considered quite good. Candidates selected for the posts of Forest Guard and Jail Guard will get salary ranging from Rs 19,500 to Rs 62,000 per month. Whereas for the post of Assistant Jail Superintendent, the salary has been fixed from Rs 36,200 to Rs 1,14,800 per month. Apart from this, Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance and other government facilities will also be given to the employees.
What qualification is required?
In this recruitment, different qualifications have been fixed for different posts. For the posts of Forest Guard, Field Guard and Jail Guard, the candidate must have passed at least 10th or 12th. Whereas for the post of Assistant Jail Superintendent, it is mandatory to have a graduation degree from a recognized university. Along with this, physical fitness has also been made necessary for some posts, because these posts involve field duty and physical work.
age limit
The age calculation for this recruitment will be decided as of January 1, 2026. The minimum age for this recruitment has been kept at 18 years and the maximum age is 33 years. Age relaxation will be given to reserved category candidates as per the rules of Madhya Pradesh Government.
How much will the application fee be?
Application fee for this recruitment: General category and other state candidates will have to pay Rs 500, whereas for SC, ST, OBC and EWS (Madhya Pradesh resident) candidates, the fee has been fixed at Rs 250. Apart from this, MP online portal charge of Rs 60 and registered citizen portal charge of Rs 20 will have to be paid additionally.
What will the selection process be like?
The selection process for this recruitment will take place in several stages. First of all there will be a written examination in which 100 multiple choice questions will be asked. The paper will include subjects like General Knowledge, General Science, Hindi, English and Mathematics. The exam will be of total 100 marks and the time will be 2 hours. After the written exam, there will also be Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Criteria Test (PST) for some posts. After this document verification and medical test will be taken. Selection will be done on the basis of final selection merit list.
