Gas Cylinder Using Tips: Today, gas cylinders are used for cooking in almost all homes. It has become the most important part of everyday life. But the problem arises when the gas suddenly runs out while cooking in the kitchen. Be it morning rush or guests coming to the house. In such a situation, people face difficulties.

Many people are unable to estimate how much gas is left in the cylinder. Due to which the gas suddenly ends. But the good thing is that without any machine, you can find out how much gas is left in the LPG cylinder by sitting at home in some easy ways. Know the methods.

check with wet cloth

It is now easier than ever to find out how much gas is left from a wet cloth and it is considered a very reliable method. All you have to do is soak a clean cloth in water and wrap it from the top to the bottom of the cylinder. Wait for about a minute or two and then remove the cloth. Now look carefully at the surface of the cylinder.

As far as moisture dries quickly. That part is usually empty. The part which is filled with gas. It remains cool there and the water dries late. Meaning, where wetness and coldness last for a long time, gas is present only there. This method proves to be quite easy and very effective.

guess by weight

If there is a weight machine at home, you can get a little more accurate information. Its empty weight is written on every LPG cylinder. Which is called tare weight. First place the cylinder on the machine and note the total weight. Then subtract the tare weight from that weight. The remaining figure will be the weight of the gas present in the cylinder. About 14.2 kg of gas is filled in a normal domestic cylinder. So on that basis you can estimate how much gas has been spent and how much is left.

Find out the flame

Many times the cylinder itself starts telling that the gas is about to run out. If the flame of the stove does not appear as bright as before. Cooking is taking longer than usual or the flame is becoming weak in between. So this could be a sign of less gas. However, this method is not completely accurate. But it definitely gives an early warning. It is better to book a new cylinder as soon as you get such indications. So that one does not have to face sudden problems.
