Railways Canceled Trains: Every day lakhs of passengers in the country rely on trains to reach from one city to another. Be it long or short distance, railways is still considered the most economical and convenient option. But sometimes due to operational reasons, repair work or technical updates, the schedule of trains has to be changed.

Some trains are canceled temporarily. So the route of some is changed. In such a situation, if you have already booked tickets for the month of April. So definitely check the status of your train before travelling. A small carelessness can turn into a big problem on the day of travel. Therefore it is important to keep updated.

Trains were canceled due to this reason

Changes have been made in the operation of trains due to the repair of the railway bridge built on the Ganga river near Kanpur. This maintenance work is going to start from April 2, 2026 and will continue for more than 40 days. During work on the bridge, traffic will be limited for safety reasons. For this reason, many trains have been temporarily canceled, while the routes of some have been diverted. Passengers are advised to check the latest status of their train before travelling, so that last minute problems can be avoided.

These trains were canceled

• Train number 64701/02 Jhansi-Lucknow-Jhansi MEMU train has been cancelled.
• Train number 54153/44 Kanpur-Rae Bareli-Kanpur passenger train has been cancelled.
• Train number 54101/02 Prayagraj-Kanpur-Prayagraj passenger train has been cancelled.
• Train number 54325/26 Sitapur-Kanpur-Sitapur passenger train has been cancelled.
• Train number 64212/64203/64214 Kanpur-Lucknow MEMU train has also been cancelled.

These trains were diverted

• The route of train number 12004 New Delhi-Lucknow Shatabdi Express was diverted.
• The route of train number 02563 Barauni-New Delhi Clone Special was diverted.
• The route of train number 02423 Dibrugarh-New Delhi Clone Special was diverted.
• The route of train number 15065 Panvel-Gorakhpur Express was diverted.
• The route of train number 15045 Okha-Gorakhpur Express was diverted.
• The route of train number 12591 Yesvantpur-Gorakhpur Express was diverted.
• The route of train number 13237 Kota-Patna Express was diverted.
• The route of train number 12143 LTT-Pratapgarh Express was diverted.
• The route of train number 12183 Bhopal-Pratapgarh Superfast was diverted.

These trains were short terminated

• The operation of Agra Fort-Lucknow Intercity has currently been restructured. Now this train will start and end from Kanpur Central instead of Lucknow. That means the entire run will be limited to Kanpur Central.
• Pune-Lucknow Express has also been temporarily short terminated. This train will not reach Lucknow yet. Both its origin and destination will remain Kanpur Central.
• The route of Lucknow-LTT Express has also been partially cut. This service will currently operate only up to Kanpur Central and the further section will remain temporarily closed.
