In today’s time, after 12th, students have to work hard to get good studies and make a better career. Difficult examinations like JEE have to be given for admission in engineering colleges and NEET for admission in medical colleges. Both these examinations are counted among the biggest examinations of the country. Every year lakhs of students appear in these exams, but due to limited seats, only a few students get success. It is often seen that students take the help of expensive coaching institutes to prepare for these examinations. In big cities, coaching fees are very high, which is not possible for every family.
This becomes a big challenge especially for children from rural and economically weak families. Many talented students are not able to prepare well just because of lack of money and their dreams remain unfulfilled. Understanding this problem, Bihar government has taken an important decision. Now students studying in government schools of the state will also be made to prepare for JEE, NEET and other competitive examinations. For this, one model school will be opened in every block, where the level of education will be kept as per competitive examinations.
Preparation will start from 9th class itself
The most special thing about this scheme is that students will be prepared for competitive examinations from class 9 itself. Usually, students start preparation in 11th or 12th, due to which the time gets reduced and the syllabus is also more, but now in model schools, the foundation of the children will be strengthened from the very beginning. Experienced teachers and subject experts will teach in these schools. Regular test series will be organized for the students, so that they can understand the pattern of the examination well. Besides, facility of doubt clearing session, career counseling and modern library will also be available. Better study material will be made available, so that students do not need to take separate coaching.
Model school will open in every block
The government plans to start model schools in all 543 blocks of the state. With this, students of villages and small towns will also get the same facilities as in big cities. This is being considered a big step towards equalizing the level of education. Preparations are on to start these schools from this academic session. If this scheme is implemented properly, thousands of students will get direct benefits from it. This may also increase the number of students succeeding in competitive examinations in the state.

This is how you will get admission
Admission will not be given directly in model schools. An entrance examination will be conducted for this. This examination will be conducted under the State Education Research and Training Council. Students who are successful in the examination will get admission on the basis of merit. Through this process it will be ensured that the study environment remains good. Students who are selected will be taught regularly as per the competitive examinations and their progress will be monitored.
