Former Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party convener Arvind Kejriwal appeared before the Privileges Committee of the Assembly on Friday (March 6). He appeared before the committee in the hanging house dispute case. After this Kejriwal spoke to the media. The former CM said that he would have been happy if any committee had asked Kejriwal to tell how the sewers would be repaired, how the roads would be repaired, then he would have shared his experiences. But they do not have to run Delhi. Their aim is only to do politics.
Delhi Assembly premises are historic – Kejriwal
Arvind Kejriwal said, “The complex of Delhi Assembly is a historical building. During the British era, when the capital was transferred from Calcutta to Delhi, this building was built in 1912. In 2022, through the efforts of the then Speaker Ram Niwas Goyal, it was revealed that there was a hanging house in one corner of this building. Freedom fighters were hanged in that hanging house. The then Speaker called me as the CM that we should get it repaired. It should be opened for tourists so that people can take inspiration from it.”

‘There cannot be a bigger insult to freedom fighters than this’
He further said, “Since their government came to power, they are trying to prove that this was not a hanging house but a tiffin room. I think there cannot be a bigger insult to the freedom fighters than this. I was asked to prove that this was a hanging house. I said tell me what proof you have that this was a tiffin room. They do not have any proof. This means that they are deliberately insulting the freedom fighters. They are trying to prove that there was no hanging house.”
Delhiites are crying- Arvind Kejriwal
The AAP convener also said, “I have to say that ever since the BJP government came to power, the condition of Delhi has deteriorated. The people of Delhi are crying. The people of Delhi are remembering the Aam Aadmi Party government. There is garbage everywhere in Delhi. The condition of pollution is very bad. The roads are dilapidated. Bills worth thousands of rupees are coming for water and electricity. There is an outcry all around. I said that only this issue was found to waste the time. Is.”
