Mahindra is rapidly expanding its line of electric cars in India. The company has already introduced new electric SUVs like BE6, XEV 9e and XEV 9s. Now the next big product of the company will be Mahindra BE.07, which can be launched around the year 2027. This new electric SUV will also be built on Mahindra’s INGLO platform. The BE.07 will be positioned between the BE6 and XEV 9e and will be positioned as a more practical and spacious SUV.
What will be the difference in design and size?
The design of Mahindra BE.07 may be similar to BE6, but it will have a slightly less aggressive look. The BE6 has a concept-like design. In this, some elements like rear spoiler and front styling will remain the same as BE6. Talking about size, BE.07 will be bigger than BE6. This means that more space is expected inside the car. Rear seat space is considered a bit less in the current BE6, but efforts will be made to improve this shortcoming in BE.07. Even though its wheelbase remains almost the same, there can be improvement in headroom and legroom.
Interior and Features
The interior of Mahindra BE.07 can be quite modern. A steering wheel like BE6 can be seen in it, but in terms of features it will be inspired by XEV 9e. Triple screen setup can be given in this SUV, which will improve the driving and infotainment experience. Apart from this, the car is also expected to get a large panoramic sunroof, in which special pattern lighting can be provided. The design of seats and headrests may remain the same as BE6. Mahindra’s BE brand is considered more sporty than the XEV brand and the same sporty feel can be seen in BE.07 also.
Range and performance
According to reports, Mahindra BE.07 is expected to get a single motor setup. Although it will be a larger SUV than the BE6, it is expected to have a longer range. In terms of performance too, it can be equal to or slightly better than BE6.
Launch and combat
Mahindra BE.07 can compete with electric SUVs like Tata Harrier EV in the market. With larger size, more space and better range, this SUV family can be designed keeping the customers in mind. According to reports, this new electric SUV can be launched after next year.
