BJP’s response to the talk of carving Bihar-Bengal into a Union Territory, ‘The plan is complete…’

Political rhetoric is intensifying regarding creation of a Union Territory by merging some districts of Bihar and Bengal. First RJD and then later MP Pappu Yadav reacted to this. Amidst all the discussions, now a clarification has been given by BJP on this. The party leader has cleared all the misconceptions. On Saturday (March 07, 2026), MP Nityanand Rai has posted in this regard from his X handle and appealed not to take Pappu Yadav’s words seriously.

Nityanand Rai wrote, “The plan to create a Union Territory by merging some districts of Bihar and West Bengal is completely beyond facts and there is no truth in it. I want to tell that no one should take Pappu Yadav’s tweet seriously.”

Regarding the Union Territory, last Friday (March 06, 2026), MP Pappu Yadav had posted from his X handle and wrote, “BJP is going to play the game of imposing President’s rule in West Bengal and passing a resolution in the Bihar Assembly to create a Union Territory by merging the districts of Seemanchal and Malda, Murshidabad, Raiganj Dinajpur etc. This is the game behind removing Nitish ji and bringing in a Lieutenant General Governor.” Nityanand Rai has reacted to this post of Pappu Yadav today.

Pappu Yadav hit back at Nityanand Rai

After clarification from Nityanand Rai, Pappu Yadav again attacked. He said through his X post, “Nitya Babu, Namaste, there is no smoke without fire! HM stayed in Seemanchal for three days, then making a Governor of Bihar with military background and a former IB officer as Governor of Bengal raises doubts. If not, it is a good thing to create a UT, if it is created, we will take it seriously. We will impose an economic blockade.”

Let us tell you that before this, RJD Principal General Secretary and MLA Ranvijay Sahu had given a statement that preparations are going on to create a Union Territory by merging Seemanchal and some parts of Bengal. With this, Mamata Banerjee and our big boat bank will be cut off.
