Elections for 5 Rajya Sabha seats on March 16

However, opposition parties allege that Nitish Kumar has taken the decision to go to Rajya Sabha under pressure from BJP. Opposition leaders say that this development is part of a larger political conspiracy by BJP to change the leadership structure in Bihar. Elections for five Rajya Sabha seats in Bihar are on March 16. NDA has a majority of 202 MLAs in the 243-member Bihar Assembly. However, to win all five seats it needs three more votes.
