The Indian cricket team is ready to face New Zealand in the final. This title clash will take place on March 8 at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Before the final, Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav has said that if coach Gautam Gambhir had got permission, he would have himself taken the field to play the final match. Let us tell you that Gambhir was a part of Team India that won the 2007 T20 World Cup and he played a valuable inning of 75 runs in the final.
Captain Suryakumar Yadav said in the press conference before the final match, “If things were under Gautam Gambhir’s control, he would have come to bat wearing pads. He has played in such conditions, he has won the World Cup.”
Suryakumar Yadav praised coach Gautam Gambhir and said that he wants the players to concentrate only on their work while batting. He also said that Gambhir has created such an environment within the team that the players do not focus on individual achievements and focus on the success of the team.
In the final, the Indian team will face the challenge of New Zealand, which is coming after defeating South Africa by 9 wickets. Since Africa had not lost any match in the entire World Cup, New Zealand’s one-sided 9-wicket victory over them was surprising. Obviously, the Kiwi team will enter the field with the intention of another big win.
