ATM Cash Withdrawal: Today is the era of digitalization. All things are happening online. From bill payment to shopping, people make more and more payments online. Sometimes when cash is required, you have the option to withdraw it from a nearby ATM.
However, many times we forget to carry the card with us. In such a situation, you also have the option to withdraw cash from ATM through Unified Payments Interface (UPI). Nowadays many banks are providing UPI based cash withdrawal facility from ATMs.
Which banks’ ATMs provide service?
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has asked all banks to provide cardless cash withdrawal facility through UPI in all ATMs. Under this system, customers will no longer have to use their debit card or credit card while withdrawing cash from ATM. Cardless cash withdrawal is a safe and easy way to withdraw cash from ATM without any debit or credit card. In this, you can transfer money between different bank accounts without any physical card. Many banks like SBI, HDFC, ICICI and PNB are nowadays providing the facility to withdraw cash from ATM.
What is the cash withdrawal limit?
There are many benefits of cardless cash withdrawal. For this, you do not need to always keep your debit or credit card with you. There is no problem in withdrawing cash even in case the card is stolen or lost. However, for this you must have an active UPI and internet connection. In cardless cash withdrawal, you can withdraw up to Rs 10,000 at a time and a maximum of Rs 20,000 in a day.
How to withdraw cash from ATM
- First go to an ATM that supports UPI-ATM withdrawal.
- Select ‘UPI Cash Withdrawal’ option on the ATM screen.
- Enter cash withdrawal amount (limit up to Rs 10000 per transaction).
- A one-time use dynamic QR code will appear on the ATM screen.
- Open your UPI app, scan the QR code and select Account.
- Enter your UPI PIN to authorize the transaction.
- The ATM will immediately validate and dispense cash.
