Ravi Dubey and Sargun Mehta, considered one of the most hardworking and enterprising producer-actor couples in the industry, continue to pursue their creative vision through their production company Dreamiyata Entertainment.
In the last few years, this production house has created its own identity in the industry through grassroots stories and content that connects with the audience. Now for the first time the duo is talking openly about such a big-scale plan for their banner.
Ravi Dubey shared his vision
Dreamiyata is preparing for an ambitious pan-India Punjabi film, which will star Sargun Mehta in the lead role. In a recent interview with a leading publication, Ravi Dubey shared some information about this film for the first time and told how the idea gradually transformed into a big cinematic project.
Ravi said, ‘I cannot share much information about it right now, but I can tell you that this is a film coming out of Punjab, in which Sargun will be the main character of the film. But it will be a pan-India film. We are very, very excited about this.
Talking about the vision of the project, he said that his team wants to explore a genre which according to him has not been fully explored across the country yet.
He said, ‘We believe that this genre has not been fully exploited yet. Not only in Punjab, but in many parts of India too, this has not been seen much. We want to bring it to the fore. The main parts of its story are in our mind and we are working rapidly on the script. We have progressed a lot in this journey and we are finding it very exciting. We have started preparing its assets, work on the music has also started. We are getting so much happiness while working on all these things that sometimes we have sleepless nights, but we are thoroughly enjoying this process.
The year 2025 proved to be a milestone for Dreamiata. As producers, the duo delivered the year’s highest-grossing Punjabi film Saukhan Saukhane 2, while Sargun Mehta also played the lead role in the successful film Sarbala Ji.
Their YouTube-first platform Dreamiyata Drama also continues to create new records, with over 1.1 billion views and over 9 billion minutes of watch time. This is India’s first platform dedicated to long format original drama. His original song Ve Haniyaan has also crossed more than 700 million streams.
Many shows have been made under the banner of Dreamiyata Drama.
This banner has also given many successful shows on television, which include Udaariyaan, Swaran Ghar, Junooniyat, Badal Pe Paon Hain, Dalchini, Ganga Mai Ki Betiyaan and Tu Juliet Jatt Di.
Ravi Dubey and Sargun Mehta have created a strong and distinct production model in all three fields – films, television and digital platforms. In such a situation, it seems almost certain that Dreamiata will enter the pan-India level.
As Dreamiata Entertainment prepares for this big project, this announcement signals the beginning of a new phase for the production house. Meanwhile, Ravi Dubey is also going to step into the mythological world and play the role of Laxman, which is making it a very exciting time for both his career and Dreamiyata.
