Let us tell you that Adivi Shesh and Mrunal Thakur starrer ‘Dacait: A Love Story’ was earlier scheduled to release on March 19 this year along with Ugadi festival. However, the makers have now postponed the release by a few weeks. This film will now hit theaters across the world on April 10, 2026.
Adivi Shesh shared this update with fans through her official social media handle. Explaining the changed release plans, the actor posted a short message in which he wrote, “Goldfish on April 10th. In theaters worldwide,” confirming that the film will now hit the big screens on the new date.
Adivi Shesh has written ‘Dacoit: A Love Story’
‘Dacait: A Love Story’ is the directorial debut of cinematographer Shenil Dev. This film is based on the story written by Adivi Shesh himself and is a mixture of romance, action and emotional drama. The story revolves around an angry prisoner who wants to take revenge on his ex-girlfriend because he feels that she cheated on him. As the story progresses, the film shows what went wrong between the two characters and how their relationship eventually turns into a fight. There are many strong actors in the film. In this, Anurag Kashyap is expected to be seen in the role of a police officer, while actors Sunil, Prakash Raj and Atul Kulkarni will be seen in important roles.
Why was the release of the film postponed?
According to media reports, the makers decided to postpone the release date to avoid box office clashes. Actually, on March 19, Dacoit was supposed to clash with other big films like Dhurandhar: The Revenge and Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-ups.
