Dubai Airport Drone Attack: Drone attack near Dubai International Airport, 4 people including an Indian injured

A major accident has taken place in Dubai amid the Iran-America-Israel war. Dubai Media Office has officially confirmed that two drones fell near Dubai International Airport (DXB) some time ago. Four people have been injured in this accident. Two Ghanaian nationals, a Bangladeshi national and an Indian national suffered minor injuries.

Security on high alert due to drone-missile attack

It is not yet clear whether the drones came from Iran or fell due to some other reason, but due to the war, the security alert in the area is very high due to Iranian drone and missile attacks. UAE’s air defense system has intercepted many drones and missiles in the last few hours. Dubai Airport is one of the busiest airports in the world, but right now flights are running completely normal and there has been no major disruption.

Iran’s attacks increased in Gulf countries

This incident has happened at a time when Iran has intensified counter attacks on Gulf countries i.e. UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain and Kuwait. Abu Dhabi’s Ruwais Refinery also caught fire due to a drone attack and had to be closed. The Government of India and the Indian Embassy in Dubai are monitoring the situation of the injured Indian citizen and are preparing to provide necessary help.

These attacks are continuing from the beginning of the war i.e. 28 February 2026 till now. Iran has fired hundreds of missile-drones at Gulf countries, while countries like UAE have intercepted most of them.

Advisory for Indians in UAE

The Government of India has also issued an advisory for Indian citizens living in UAE. Indians living in Dubai and Abu Dhabi are being advised to remain alert and follow the instructions of local authorities. If any Indian national is affected, contact the Indian Embassy Dubai (+971-4-3971222) or Abu Dhabi (+971-2-4492700).
