Preparations have started to increase the number of assembly seats in Rajasthan. After the completion of the census and delimitation process, there is a possibility of increasing about 70 new seats in the state. If this proposal is implemented then the number of MLAs in Rajasthan Assembly may increase from 200 to 270. Due to this, a big change can also be seen in the political picture of the state.
Assembly Speaker gave information
Rajasthan Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani has given information regarding the proposal to increase assembly seats. He said that in view of the possibility of increasing the number of seats in the future, a plan is being made to construct a new house for the Assembly. Under this, the existing system will be expanded so that seating arrangements can be made for more MLAs.
New house will be built with capacity of 280 members
The Speaker said that the proposed new Assembly House will be designed in such a way that it has a seating capacity of about 280 members. This means that even if the number of seats increases in the future, there will be enough space available in the new building. With this, the proceedings of the Assembly will be conducted smoothly.
The new assembly will be constructed on the lines of the Parliament House in New Delhi. According to the plan, the building will be equipped with modern facilities. Along with this, a central hall will also be built like the Parliament House, where important meetings and programs can be organised. This is being considered a big step towards making the assembly complex modern and more convenient.
The budget has been approved
The budget for this project has also been released by the state government. Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma has approved the budget for this. After this, now the process of construction of the new assembly house is being taken forward.
It is being told that there is a plan to complete the delimitation process before the next assembly elections in Rajasthan. After delimitation, the boundaries of the assembly constituencies will be changed and new seats will be formed. This will help in making the representation more balanced according to the population in the state.
