Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan has issued a public notice regarding misuse of its name, uniform, logo and institutional identity. The organization has said that in recent times, there have been cases of KVS identity being used without permission in social media platforms, films, web series, reels and other digital content. In some cases, it has also been shown in a wrong or objectionable manner, about which the organization has expressed serious concern.
In the notice issued by KVS, it has been made clear that no person, content creator, film producer, production house, digital media agency or common citizen can use the KVS uniform, uniforms similar to it, official logo, name, insignia or any element related to the identity of the institute without prior written permission. This rule will apply to all types of audio-visual and digital content, including films, web series, short videos, social media reels, songs, advertisements, documentaries and other online or print content.

Ban on display of wrong type of name or logo
KVS has also said that representing the organization, its students, teachers or schools in any derogatory, indecent, misleading or false manner is strictly prohibited. According to the notice, such presentation not only affects the image of the institute but also hurts the dignity of students and teachers. The organization has also clarified that using KVS identity without permission will be considered a serious violation. Such cases can be seen as defamation, misrepresentation and violation of intellectual property and trademark rights. Besides, it will also be considered as an act that harms the reputation and discipline of a national educational institution.
KVS can take legal action
The notice warns that strict legal action can be taken against individuals or institutions violating the rules. This may include civil and criminal lawsuits, demands for damages and other legal steps. Apart from this, if necessary, action can also be taken against digital platforms hosting such content. KVS has appealed to content creators, filmmakers, social media influencers, production houses and the general public to follow this notice and cooperate in maintaining the dignity of educational institutions and students. The organization has said that this public notice has been issued in public interest and it has been implemented with immediate effect.
