Iran has hit back at US President Donald Trump’s claim of destroying Tehran’s electrical capacity. Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, has said that if Trump does this, it will be easier to catch American soldiers in the dark. It has been almost 14 days since the war broke out between America, Israel and Iran and attacks from both sides are still going on.
Claiming victory over Iran, Trump had said that he could destroy Tehran’s electrical capacity in an hour. Ali Larijani has hit back at Trump’s statement through a post on social media platform X. In the post, he wrote, ‘Trump has said – we can destroy Iran’s electricity capacity in an hour, but we have not done so. Well, if they do this, the entire area will go dark in less than half an hour and there will be every opportunity to capture the American soldiers running for safety in the darkness.
Donald Trump, while talking to the media in Maryland, had claimed that the US military could destroy Tehran’s electrical capacity within an hour. Trump had said, ‘We can attack parts of Tehran and other places, but if you do that, it will be almost impossible for them to rebuild their country, and we don’t want that, but we can attack Electric; We can destroy their electric capacity in an hour and it will take them 25 years to rebuild it. So that’s why we’re not going to do that.
Donald Trump had said, ‘We have very good news on the war front. That is, they are being completely destroyed. Iran is completely coming to an end. They (Iran) are almost at their last stretch. This does not mean that we will end it immediately, but they are doing so. They don’t have any navy. They don’t have any air force. They don’t have any anti-air traffic, nothing. They don’t have any system of control. We are just roaming freely on that country.
He said that in the last 11 days, American forces have caused great damage to Iran’s military capabilities. Trump said, ‘We are blowing up factories that make radar or anti-aircraft equipment and, frankly, no one has ever seen anything like it.’
