There is important news for the students preparing to study further in the dental field. The application process for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test – Master of Dental Surgery (NEET MDS 2026) is now underway. National Board of Examination (Medical Sciences) has started online registration for this examination. Interested and eligible candidates from across the country can now apply by visiting the official website nbe.edu.in. According to the board, the application process has started from March 14 and candidates can fill their form within the stipulated time limit.
The examination board has given approximately two weeks time to the candidates to apply. Interested students can fill their application form online till 30 March 2026 at 11:55 pm. Students have been advised not to wait for the last minute and complete the application process as soon as possible. Sometimes, due to high traffic on the website on the last day, technical problems may also arise.
Exam will be held on 2nd May
NEET MDS 2026 exam will be conducted on 2 May 2026. This examination will be completely in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. The examination will be conducted in a single shift, which will run from 2 pm to 5 pm. In this way candidates will be given three hours to solve the questions. After the examination, the board is likely to declare the result on June 2, 2026.
Who can apply
Only those candidates can apply for this examination who have obtained BDS degree from an institute recognized by Dental Council of India (DCI). Apart from this, it is also necessary for the candidate to have a provisional or permanent registration certificate issued by DCI or any State Dental Council. Also, candidates will have to complete a mandatory internship of 12 months by 31 May 2026. Only then will they be considered eligible for this examination.

Often candidates make minor mistakes while applying. Keeping this in mind, the examination board has also said that the correction window will be opened after the application process is over. Through this window, candidates will be able to make necessary changes or corrections in their application form. With this, students will not have to face the problem of filling the form again.
how much is the application fee
The application fee for NEET MDS 2026 has been fixed according to different categories. The application fee for General, OBC and EWS category candidates has been kept at Rs 3500. SC, ST and Disabled (PwD) category candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs 2500.

- First of all go to the official website nbe.edu.in or natboard.edu.in.
- After this click on the NEET MDS Registration 2026 link visible on the homepage.
- Now fill your basic information and create login ID and password.
- After this, login to the dashboard and fill the NEET MDS 2026 application form.
- After filling the form, upload the required documents in the prescribed format and deposit the fee online.
- Finally, submit the form and download its copy.
