2BHK Construction Cost: The cost of building a house depends on many things. Such as the cost of construction materials, wages and location of the property. In countries like India and Pakistan, the cost of construction has increased significantly due to rising prices of materials. The cost of building a typical 1000 square feet 2BHK house is quite different in these two countries.

Average construction cost in India

In India, the cost of building a 2BHK house of 1000 square feet is usually between Rs 18 lakh to Rs 25 lakh. However, the price may vary depending on the quality of material and finishing. A basic or budget construction can cost around Rs 12 lakh to Rs 16 lakh. With this, the price of a standard quality house usually ranges between Rs 18 lakh to Rs 22 lakh. While building a house in India, the largest part of the budget is spent on materials. Construction materials usually account for 60% to 65% of the total cost. This means that for a normal house of 1000 square feet the range will be around Rs 10 lakh to Rs 15 lakh. Labor costs usually account for 25% to 35% of the budget. In this, the average labor charges are around ₹ 300 to ₹ 500 per square foot. The remaining expenses like architectural design, government approvals and other expenses usually amount to 5% to 10%.

The cost of building a gray structure usually ranges from 2800 Pakistani currency to 3600 Pakistani currency per square foot. The cost of luxury construction can exceed 10,000 Pakistani currency per square foot.

In this budget, approximately Rs 48 lakh Pakistani currency can be spent only on foundation and structural work. Along with this, about 36 lakh Pakistani currency may be spent on finishing things like flooring, wood work, doors and fittings.
