Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav is in Mumbai on Sunday (15 March). During this he addressed the public. SP Chief has enumerated the achievements of his government from the stage. He said that we had made a new change to prevent fire during Kumbh.
During the time of Kumbh, we had made such a provision that if we keep the gas cylinder under the sand, then food will be cooked from it but there will be no chance of an accident or fire. We did this during the organization of Kumbh in our government. During this, SP Chief said that from Kumbh to Metro, we did everything first.
What did SP Chief say about Lucknow Metro?
Regarding metro in UP, he said that the metro which was built in UP was not the plan of our manifesto, but we built it as per the need. I made the country’s metro man Shridhan as my advisor. We had built the 9 kilometer metro which was built in the shortest time in the country.
Akhilesh Yadav said that we built the country’s largest single elevated road. We also did the work of Gomti River River Front. In a city like Lucknow, we did the most modern and budget friendly work.
Akhilesh Yadav told that when I wanted to build Agra Lucknow Highway, we added many better things to it. Taking a dig at the BJP government, he said that we had already done the work of landing airplanes on the moving expressway 11 years ago. The work which this government is doing now.
‘Most trees were planted under our government’
We had made a small change during our government that to create a green belt, the first tree will not be planted by any minister or leader but the last tree will be planted. Because of this, there was pressure on the departments and when they had made the entire green belt, a leader or minister was being invited to plant the last tree. This was the reason that during our government maximum trees were planted and forest area increased in Uttar Pradesh.
Samajwadi Party was a village party – Akhilesh Yadav
Samajwadi Party was called the village party. He said that we were called against English, but as we decided that we will give laptops to children for studies, the headline was published in all the newspapers. Till date no one has been able to raise a single question on the process of this laptop distribution.
Akhilesh Yadav told that we had done a creative thing that when the laptop is on, first of all it should see the picture of me and Netaji and that happened and even till today, whoever turns on the laptop would see the picture of me and Netaji first.
He further said that we also worked a lot for cultural creativity in our government. Because of the decisions we took during that time, films and serials started being made in Uttar Pradesh. Our folk artistes got work and even today the government is carrying forward this policy.
Started the tradition of Holi with flowers
Akhilesh Yadav told that we had started the Holi tradition of flowers. Due to this, people in the surrounding villages started growing flowers. Along with Saifai Mahotsav, we started Agra Mahotsav, Jhansi Mahotsav. He told that we worked to honor the artists of Uttar Pradesh by honoring Yash Bharti. Worked on giving Rs 50 thousand every month to respected artists. He said that MP Milind Deora shared the video of Mumbai’s cycle way, let me tell you that we had made it in 2006 itself.
What was said on the opening of Bhajan Sthal in Ayodhya?
Akhilesh Yadav told that it has not come out in the form that he wanted to make it in the beginning. Often we see that among the people who come to our religious institutions, there are a large number of poor people. In such a situation, where should one go after visiting the temple was a big question.
He told that at that time we had planned to make a bhajan place for such a large number of people coming to Ayodhya to stay and pass the time of their families and we had provided full facilities in Puri.
